Since 2018, All flights have been redirected from T-2 to T-1. The airport authorities have plans of making the old building a carrier terminal.

Muscat International Airport is a safe place for tourists, provided that they follow the basic safety norms provided by the airport authority. You’re also advised to sleep at a restroom or a transit hotel only, especially if you’re a solo traveler.
